Bookshelf

These are the books that shaped my writing, stayed with me long after the last page, or completely wrecked me in the best way. From fantasy worlds to lyrical prose, this is a living archive of everything I’ve loved, learned from, and wanted to highlight. Whether you’re looking for recs, reviews, or just here to snoop, I've got you.

The Kite Runner

Genre: Historical and Literary Fiction

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini is a hauntingly beautiful story of friendship, betrayal, and the lifelong search for redemption. Set against the shifting political landscape of Afghanistan, it follows Amir and Hassan, two boys bound by an unspoken love, divided by class, and torn apart by one irreversible moment. Hosseini’s prose is delicate yet devastating, and every page pulses with emotional honesty. It’s a novel that asks what it means to be good, and whether the past can ever truly be left behind. This is one of those stories that lingers - quietly, powerfully, and never quite lets go.

Pride and Prejudice

Genre: Classic

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a timeless exploration of love, class, and self-discovery wrapped in sharp wit and elegant prose. At the heart of it is Elizabeth Bennet, a heroine ahead of her time, and Mr. Darcy, the original emotionally repressed person. Through misunderstandings, biting banter, and moments of quiet revelation, Austen crafts a love story that’s not just about relationships, but about learning to see beyond pride, let go of prejudice, and grow into one’s truest self. It’s clever, charming, and still wildly relatable centuries later.
